About Us

Assemblies of the First Born UK is an established national and international group of churches that preaches and teaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ without compromise.

We celebrated the 60th Anniversary of our formation in the UK in 2021.

We believe in the importance of prayer and fasting as a foundation with preaching and teaching the Word with clarity and in a straight forward manner to encourage, inspire and empower all who attend and engage with our services to fulfil the God-given purpose for their life.

Assemblies of the First Born is a registered UK Charity with fiourteen churches throughout the UK and three churches in the USA, Brooklyn, New York, White Plains, New York and Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Florida.

We are members of the Evangelical Alliance and actively work with several other agencies to engage with our community. 

Our vision is to continue to grow as a church where individuals and families can come and feel the love and acceptance of God through the church, where people can grow and develop in the knowledge of the person and principles of Jesus Christ and to outreach into our local communities to make a practical difference in people’s daily lives.

We seek to deliver the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a manner which supports the needs of children, young people, adults, the elderly and those that are in need.

The late Bishop Charles S. Wright, one of our founding fathers, served faithfully as the General Overseer of Assemblies of the First Born from 1961-2017.

The late Bishop Jennifer L. Green-Wright served faithfully as the General Overseer of Assemblies of the First Born from 2019-2024 (Bishop Elect 2017-2019).

The Board of Trustees who are also the Company Directors are legally responsible for the Assemblies of the First Born in accordance with UK Charity and Company Law. The Church as a registered charity and company by guarantee is governed by a Memorandum and Articles of Association. An Executive Board is appointed by the Board of Trustees to support the General Overseer in the operational management of the church. A Minister's Council provides a forum for all local church branches to be represented as required in the decision making process.
